Microsoft is disabling the OWA apps for iOS and Android this month. The apps will be removed from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store this month, and people who already have them installed will be prompted to switch to the Outlook app for iOS or Android. On May 15, the OWA apps will stop working entirely.

While the OWA apps were a good way for Office 365 users to get mobile-formatted email and calendars and worked better with Office 365 than the default mail clients, there is really no reason to keep them around when there’s an official Outlook client available. If you haven’t tried Outlook for iOS or Android, it’s a full-featured mobile mail and calendar app that some actually prefer to using Outlook on Windows.
