Is your 2011 IT Budget in Place?

Wow its December, how did the year fly by so quickly?  It seems like only yesterday that shorts and t-shirts were the norm and year-end seemed so far away.  Now everyone is looking forward to their holiday season to spend time with loved ones, but one thing needs to be taken care of before everyone jets off for the holiday’s… your 2011 IT budget.  We at PEI would like to take this time to remind you of the importance of creating a well-planned 2011 budget.

Throughout our 23 years of business we have noticed that the most successful IT departments we work with are the ones who have a well-documented project list for their superiors and internal teams.  We all know that sometimes IT needs to prove the value in the projects prior to receiving monetary approval.  This process is greatly simplified when financial and business decision makers have had the opportunity to review and understand what their IT departments are going to be doing in the new year.  In turn, IT Directors and managers have an easier time throughout the year when they do not have to constantly go asking for money as opposed to using what was budgeted for them, and we are all looking to make our lives easier, right?

As you wind down the year, please remember to utilize your partners here at PEI to help finalize your 2011 budgets.  Through careful planning with your account manager and engineering resources, you can have a well thought-out and concise plan for your IT projects.  We can assist with such areas as budgetary pricing, expected project lengths, and educating you on all the new technologies and upgrades that are slated to come out in 2011.  If you have not had a chance to meet with your PEI team, please call your account manager today to schedule a meeting.  From everyone here at PEI we would like to wish you and yours a very happy holiday and the best in 2011.
